About
Ryan Kenny is a poet from Walsall, West Midlands.
Born in 1993, Ryan grew up in Brownhills, the Grandson of an English teacher. Ryan avoided writing where possible, making essays as short as he could, and found a game in exam situations - use as few words as you can get away with.
As Ryan entered his mid-twenties, he found that his feelings towards writing had changed, and he now enjoys (maybe even daresay, LOVES) writing! Ryan's poetry is largely raw and emotional, as he expresses himself through written word in a way that he never thought that he could. Ryan writes about those that he loves, those that he has lost, and all of his emotions in between, varying from events and places that make him happy, to the darkest depths of his depression and anxiety. And sprinkled in amongst all of this, he occasionally finds space to write short poems to make people laugh.

20/20 Vision is the debut poetry book of Walsall based poet, Ryan Kenny.This book consists of 20 poems about love and loss, in which Ryan attempts to understand his emotions and how to express them. Love and loss go hand in hand - it hurts when you lose somebody you love, but it also feels amazing when you find somebody who you can share your love with. 20/20 Vision explores these feelings in a brutally raw way, with Ryan letting his emotion flood into the pages of this collection.
